I didn't just study the beauty business.
I lived it — all of it.
Twenty years ago, I stepped behind the chair and fell in love with the craft. I also stepped into an industry that no one taught me how to navigate — no pricing strategy, no systems, no business education. Just talent, a chair, and the expectation that passion would be enough.
It wasn't. And it isn't for the thousands of stylists trying to make it work today.
So I did something different. I went to school — not just for hair, but for business. I earned my bachelor's in business management. I'm completing my MBA in organizational leadership. And I brought every single thing I learned back into this industry, because beauty professionals deserve more than hustle culture and broke-but-busy as a business model.
At some point, being good at hair wasn't enough. I needed to be good at business.
I know what it's like to be fully booked and still feel like you're barely breaking even. I know the mental load of being the receptionist, the bookkeeper, the marketer, and the stylist — all before 10am. I know the hesitation before raising your prices, the guilt of canceling on yourself, and the quiet resentment that builds when you love your craft but hate what it's costing you.
That's not a passion problem. That's a strategy problem.
I built B. Morgan Consulting because I wanted to create the mentor I never had — someone who could speak to both the art of the work and the architecture of a business. Someone who had done the reading, put in the years, and still had both hands in the industry.
That's who I am. That's who I show up as — for every client, every session, every program.
